With mobile users on the up, a great way to attract business leads is through your mobile platforms. There are a few simple yet highly significant ways in which to ensure you lure those customers in.



For marketers, the customer profiling form is a vital part of this, it's how we capture information from our customers. However, from a customers point of view, filling out forms on a mobile device can be extremely frustrating; fields are normally small, and people often end up clicking the wrong line. Making this process as easy as possible may be the difference between a sale, or that customer defecting to a competitor whose process takes up less of the customers precious time. Progressive profiling allows you to replace form fields that have already been filled out the next time a customer visits your website, making the process a whole lot less painless. Believe it or not, this simple tactic means customers are a lot more likely to return to you.
Another way to boost your mobile presence is to introduce discounts and promotions that can only be redeemed through mobile devices. This can be in the form of promo codes, customer loyalty discounts, or on location interaction (perhaps to connect to Wi-fi). This one works particularly well with with social media, by encouraging your customers to follow you on Twitter or 'Like' your page on Facebook whilst on site, not only do you gain more followers, but you then have their following and details for future marketing purposes. Linking back to the first point, when there are discounts involved, customers are a lot more likely to be filling to fill out those pesky profiling forms... so by introducing them to your business this way, they never have to input their details again.
The third, and probably quite obvious pointer, is to ensure your business telephone number is click able. It is likely that if someone is searching your contact number, they want to contact you. The fewer clicks a potential customer needs to complete an action, the more likely they will complete it, as oppose to getting frustrated and giving up, and you consequently losing your potential business.
Lastly, it is crucial to ensure that your content is optimized to be viewed on a mobile screen. Normally, when people are using their mobile phone to browse, they are waiting for something or someone, they generally only have a few minutes to spare. This means you need to ensure your content is snappy, engaging and to the point; the reader needs to understand the purpose as soon as they start reading. Headlines need to be short and tweetable, after all, you want as much engagement as possible.
